Honoring the Legacy of Alan Turing (1912 – 1954)
This year, the 12th Infocom Security Conference has as its main theme, and honors, the legacy of Alan Matheson Turing (110 years since his birth), the English mathematician who is considered the father of computer science, and essentially of information technology and artificial intelligence, which among others, developed many cryptanalysis techniques, and as is well known for, broke through many German codes in World War II, as well as the Enigma encryption machine, enabling the Allies to win important battles that were critical to the outcome and shorter duration of the war.
